The World Meteorological Organization recently introduced a pioneering initiative, known as EWS4ALL, whereby every person on the planet is to have protection from extreme weather incidents with early warning systems within the next five years; this highly ambitious scheme is backed by the UN.
Jay Wilson, OTT HydroMet's Director of Business Development and Sustainability, highlights the differences between monitoring networks in different regions of the world and the repercussions caused by data gaps in developing countries in the latest episode of OTT HydroMet’s podcast: OTT CAST.
